What is the PAC?
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is made up of all of the parents/guardians with
children attending the school. With a child attending the school you are automatically in
the PAC. That means you are welcome and encouraged to add your ideas by attending
PAC meetings, volunteering, or contacting anyone on the PAC contact list.
What is the PAC's goal?
The PAC's goal is to communicate and cooperate with the School, the School Board, and
Parents to advance the education of the students at school. For example: organize
activities and events for the benefit of the school community. The following are just a few
of the activities that parents help organize:
· The Fruit & Veggie program
· Fundraising
· Field Trips
· Head Lice program
· Traffic & Safety volunteers
· Gym Nights
· Annual Skating Party
· Sports Box organizing &
· Special performances for the kids
make happen.
When does the PAC meet?
Meetings are held (almost) every month; meetings last about 2 hours. Meetings alternate
between Executive Meetings (Staff Room) and General Meetings (Library). Please email
agenda items to the Sperling PAC chair.
Who attends PAC meetings?
The PAC executive are the core volunteers (they have specific roles i.e. treasurer), the
school's principal, interested parents, guest presenters, and sometimes teachers attend.
