Shopfunds
Dear Parents,
We are excited to continue our partnership with Shopfunds, an on-going fundraising program that
will not cost you one penny. We continue to raise a significant amount of money for our children
through this easy program.
THE NEXT ORDER FORM WILL GO HOME IN NOVEMBER!
Our PAC purchases paper certificates and plastic cards from large, well known retailers at a discount.
The parent association resells the certificates and cards to you at face value and the parent
association keeps the difference as a fundraiser.
How the Program Works:
1. Several times a year, your child will bring home an order form.
2. Determine which certificates and cards you would like to purchase in what denominations.
3. Return the completed order form in an envelope with a cheque by the given due date found
on the order form.
4. Your cards will be given to your child (in a sealed envelope) to bring home.
The average family spends $6,000 - $7,000 on groceries each year. If 100 families can purchase
$100 per week on all household purchases from participating retailers, the school can earn $20,000
this school year.
(ie) $ 4,000 per family for one school year

5% average return per merchant
$ 20,000 Profit for the School
Let’s all participate by just pre-planning your regular weekly household purchases at retailers offering
to support our school. The November order is a great opportunity to purchase some gift
cards before Christmas: think of the gifts for friends, family, teachers and coaches you
could buy with one easy cheque! There will be one more order sent out this spring
before year-end.
Please remember that the cards will be sent home in a sealed envelope with your child. As with all
notices and mail sent home in sealed envelopes, please remind your child not to open the envelopes.
